A Few Years Ago…

…a tutor sat me down and told me that she didn’t think that I was strong enough or talented enough to be in the fashion industry. She was right.

I’m neither strong enough or talented enough to do this but I am graced to.

There is no way that I could, in my own strength, build my business and my brand, or grow my skills to the level that they have grown, in spite of alllllllllll my setbacks, both personal and in business without divine assistance.

The resilience I have built alone from learning how to fail forward, how to get up and dust myself off after falling down, how to apologise after getting it all wrong, is testament to the power that works on the inside of me.

NOTHING I do is in my own strength, none of it is easy (despite how Instagram makes it appear) I mean I could tell you a few stories that might make your head grow, BUT. GRACE.

What I’m trying to say is that even if you aren’t strong enough or gifted enough or smart enough there is absolutely enough grace for you to follow the dream that is deep on the inside of you. Following your dream will mean ignoring all of the naysayers, accepting that failure is not the end of the journey but a stop on the way, it will mean picking yourself up everyday and going after the thing you desire with the love, tenacity and faith that one day every single tear, every sacrifice, will absoposilutely be worth it.

Keep fighting for those dreams and keep pursuing them.

xx
